1. When is your operating hours?
Our standard operational hours are from 7:30am to 4:30 pm. Extended care options are available from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm at an additional cost of £4 per session.
2. How can I make payment for my child at Kidz Camp Essex?
We now have a new booking system where all payments for your childcare is now made. Childcare vouchers, Tax-Free Childcare, and Childcare Grant Payment Service can be made in the same way but this must be highlighted when you book. A deposit is required at the time of booking with the Full payment due before your child attends.
3. Are all staff members at Kidz Camp Essex subject to DBS checks?
Yes, all Kidz Camp Essex staff undergo a thorough screening process, including on-the-job training, qualification checks, and enhanced DBS checks to ensure their suitability for working with children.
4. What does my child need to bring to camp?
Children should bring a fully stocked, nut-free lunch box, refillable water bottle, comfortable clothing, and footwear. For days with water-based activities, include a towel, sun cream, and swimwear.
5. What activities are offered during the day at camp?
An activity schedule detailing the range of crafts, sports, and daily special activities will be provided before each camp. Check our Facebook page for highlights from previous camps.
6. My child is shy; will they be okay?
Absolutely! We understand the importance of a smooth transition, and our staff makes an effort to help children settle in, encouraging participation in activities and making new friends.
7. During which children's holidays do you run your camps?
Kidz Camp Essex is open during every Half Term and School Holiday, including February, Easter, May, Summer, October, and Christmas breaks.
8. In which locations is Kidz Camp Essex based?
We are currently located in three fantastic locations: Rayleigh, Romford, and Southend, with plans for future expansion.
9. Will there be a first aider on site?
Each Kidz Camp Essex venue is equipped with at least one paediatric first aider, in line with Ofsted's framework. Additionally, other staff members are trained in first aid.
10. Are there discounts for families with more than one child?
Yes, once logged into your account, please check the activity and the discounts offered per additional child.
11. Are you Ofsted registered, and do you accept childcare vouchers?
Yes, Kidz Camp Essex has been Ofsted registered since the Summer of 2017, allowing us to accept childcare vouchers.
12. Do you offer discounts to students and NHS staff?
Certainly! Students and NHS staff receive a 10% discount on the total booking. ID verification is required.
13. What is the difference between a FREE lunch and a premium lunch?
The FREE lunch includes a sandwich with ham, cheese, or jam filling, along with a biscuit, raisins, and a packet of crisps. The premium lunch offers a wider selection of fillings, more food, and additional items at a cost of £4 per child per day, booked and paid for in advance.
